1. Main ingredients and concentration:
ZilZyme® is a Silver/Protease complex. Its silver concentration is < 2ppm, lower than the general silver germicidal solution (> 3ppm) on the market, so it is a highly safe material. In addition, the protease extracts from plants have extremely low acute oral toxicity (LD50 > 5000mg / kg). The ZilZyme® complex has obtained Taiwan and China patents as shown in Annex I.
2. Onset of action and effective time of antibacterial:
Observed by optical microscope, ZilZyme® has instant sterilization effect. The effective bacteriostatic time is tested by Intertek, an international notary company. The test results show that the complex presents antibacterial effects of > 99.9% even after 8 and 24 hours. (Annex II)
3. Toxicology:
Since the concentration of silver is less than 2 ppm, it will not cause human and environmental harm. In addition, the concentration of the botanic essence in the complex is not higher than 500ppm and therefore will not cause skin irritation. During the six years in the market, no adverse reaction is reported.
4. Residual information:
The product has no heavy metal residues and is safe to use.
5. Stability:
An aging test is carried out by Intertek for the ZilZyme® complex. After 3 months of 45oC aging, 1-hour and 48-hour antibacterial effect are tested. The results show the effectiveness rates of > 99.99% (Intertek Report No. TWNC00382576). It is an evidence that ZilZyme® complex has two-year effective time.
6. Silver/Protease complex for environmental disinfection:
The antibacterial mechanism of silver/protease complex is not the same as that of pure nano silver. Plant extracts capture the bacterial activation site, just like nano silver particles. The catalyst can cut off the chemical bonds on the surface of bacteria, decompose bacteria, and achieve sterilization effect. At the same time, the plant essence has a dispersant effect, which can reduce the aggregation of nano silver, and the histidine ring of the lone pair coordination covalent bond on the nitrogen atom of the dispersant is combined with the silver. This phenomenon is observed from the fact that nano-silver absorption characteristic peak disappeared at a wavelength of 420 nm.
7. The comparison of ZilZyme® with some environmental disinfectants containing chlorine, guanidine, and phenol:
